Certified Nursing Assistant
CNA Cycle 1 is full and closed. CNA Cycle 2 will open for applications in August.
Overview:This 6-week (225 hour) training course is designed to prepare students for work in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care, etc. Upon completion, all students will take the Delaware State Test for Nurse Aide Certification.
Curriculum:
Students will prepare for practice and certification which includes, but is not limited to, the aging process, anatomy, physiology, daily living, communication skills, dementia training, infection control, psychosocial needs, safe practice, and work ethics. Professional conduct and employability skills are emphasized throughout. Punctuality and attendance is mandatory.
Classes are Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm and include clinicals.
Tuition and Fees:
Tuition for non-funded applicant - $2,565.00
Background Check and Drug Screening: $155.00 - payment can be made online at www.deskillscenter.org

Cycle One: August 17, 2026 - September 25, 2026
Cycle Two: October 5, 2026 - November 13, 2026
Cycle Three: November 30, 2026 - January 22, 2027
Cycle Four: February 1, 2027 - March 12, 2027
Cycle Five: March 22, 2027 - April 30, 2027
Cycle Six: May 10, 2027 - June 17, 2027
Requirements for Enrollment:
- Delaware Resident at least 18 Years of Age
- Valid Driver’s License
- Social Security Card
- Proof of Selective Service Registration (males only)
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Ability to Pass a Reading and Math Exam
- Pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
- Reliable Transportation
- Immunizations Up-to-date
