Certified Nursing Assistant
Overview:
This 6-week training course is designed to prepare students for work in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care, etc. Upon completion, all students will take the Delaware State Test for Nurse Aide Certification.
Curriculum:
Students will prepare for practice and certification which includes, but is not limited to, the aging process, anatomy, physiology, daily living, communication skills, dementia training, infection control, psychosocial needs, safe practice, and work ethics. Professional conduct and employability skills are emphasized throughout. Punctuality and attendance is mandatory.
Classes are Monday - Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm and include clinicals.
Cycle Schedule:
Cycle One: August 21, 2023 - September 29, 2023
Cycle Two: October 9, 2023 - November 17, 2023
Cycle Three: November 27, 2023 - January 12, 2024
Cycle Four: January 22, 2024 - March 1, 2024
Cycle Five: March 11, 2024 - April19, 2024
Cycle Six: April 29, 2024 - June 7, 2024
Tuition: $2,550.00
Requirements for Enrollment:
- Delaware Resident at least 18 Years of Age
- Valid Driver’s License
- Social Security Card
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Ability to Pass a Reading and Math Exam
- Pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
